What are the best Shopify affiliate apps?

Shopify Collabs first: it is free to install and pays creators through your Shopify bill. After that, pick by workflow. Simple Affiliate when your affiliates are people you already know and should sign in on your store: Pro is $39 flat, $78 with Autopay at $10,000 GMV. UpPromote when you must recruit strangers from a marketplace and can pay 2% of referral sales: $229.99 on Growth. GoAffPro for a free plan with no sales fee, or multi-level commissions from $49/month. These pages do not recommend uninstalling Shopify products.

Each pick

Each pick by workflow: where affiliates sign in, how payouts run and who pays the fees, and whether you recruit strangers or manage people you know. Costs are modeled at $10,000 of affiliate-attributed GMV a month with a 10% commission ($1,000), from each vendor’s pricing page and App Store listing.

1

Shopify Collabs

Included creator marketplace — start here

Before installing anything, open the marketplace Shopify already gave you. Creators apply through your Collabs application page or accept a direct invite, and an open access program offers commission to Collabs creators. Commissions are paid automatically through your Shopify bill. Nothing on this list replaces it; a third-party app adds an owned roster on your store beside it.

Cost at $10,000 GMV. Free to install, with no subscription. Its App Store listing says a 2.9% commission processing fee on automatic payments may apply: up to $29 on $1,000 of commission.

2

Simple Affiliate

A roster you already know, on your store

The pick when the people are already in your orbit: customers, creators, partners you know by name. They sign in with your store’s Shopify customer accounts, so there is no separate affiliate portal. Autopay pays the full commission through Stripe in a monthly payment when you turn on the monthly schedule, or when you click Pay now, and bills you the processing fee; PayPal and store-credit payouts carry no Simple Affiliate fee. There is no marketplace, so you bring the roster.

Cost at $10,000 GMV. Pro is $39/month with no percentage of referred sales. With Autopay by bank (3.9% of $1,000 of commission) it models to $78; pay by PayPal or store credit and it stays $39. Starter is $0 for up to 10 affiliates.

3

UpPromote

Recruiting strangers, plus a sales percentage

Built for recruiting publishers you have never met: from Growth your offer is listed on the UpPromote marketplace, and a Creator Discovery add-on starts at $39/month. Affiliates work in an UpPromote affiliate account; Professional adds a custom domain for its sign-up and login links and syncs affiliate profiles to your Shopify customer list. Store-credit payouts start on Growth, PayPal and store-credit auto-payout and multi-level marketing on Professional, and refer-a-friend is in the same product.

Cost at $10,000 GMV. Growth is $29.99/month plus 2% of successful referral sales: $229.99 at $10,000. Professional is $89.99 plus 1.5%. Free costs $0 for up to $3,000 of referral sales reviewed a month, without the marketplace listing.

4

GoAffPro

Free plan with no sales fee, or MLM

Affiliates register in a GoAffPro portal, which runs on your own domain from Premium. Premium also adds multi-level marketing and, per its pricing page, a payout scheduler and tax plugin, and the listing names PayPal, bank, ACH, card, and gift-card payouts. The listing does not mention a publisher marketplace, so it suits a roster you recruit yourself.

Cost at $10,000 GMV. Hobby is $0 with unlimited affiliates and revenue; GoAffPro recommends it below 100 daily orders, about 3,000 a month. Premium is $49/month and Business starts at $99/month. Neither goaffpro.com/pricing nor the listing shows a percentage of sales.

Frequently asked questions

Direct answers. Updated October 5, 2026.

Is Shopify Collabs an affiliate app?

It is Shopify’s own creator marketplace and affiliate tool, which is why it leads this list: the first-party option comes before any install. It is free to install and pays commissions through your Shopify bill; its listing says a 2.9% commission processing fee on automatic payments may apply. These pages do not recommend uninstalling Shopify products such as Shopify Collabs. See apps.shopify.com/collabs.

Where do affiliates sign in with each app?

Simple Affiliate: your store’s Shopify customer accounts. Shopify Collabs: creators apply through your Collabs application page or a direct invite. UpPromote: an UpPromote affiliate account, with a custom domain for its links from Professional. GoAffPro: a GoAffPro portal, on your own domain from Premium.

Who pays the payout fees?

On Simple Affiliate the merchant pays the Autopay fee (3.9% by bank on Pro, + 2 USD per payout under 25 USD from November 1, 2026) and affiliates receive the full commission; PayPal and store credit carry no Simple Affiliate fee. Shopify Collabs lists a 2.9% commission processing fee on automatic payments. The UpPromote and GoAffPro pricing pages list no payout processing fee. Details: https://simple-affiliate.com/blogs/how-to-guides/auto-pay-overview-processing-fees.

What does each app cost at $10,000 of affiliate sales?

With a 10% commission ($1,000): Simple Affiliate Pro $39, or $78 with Autopay by bank; UpPromote Growth $229.99 ($29.99 plus 2% of $10,000); GoAffPro Hobby $0, or Premium $49; Shopify Collabs $0 to install, plus up to $29 where the 2.9% processing fee applies. The commissions themselves are extra on every option.

Which app is best if I need to find new publishers?

UpPromote, whose marketplace listing starts on Growth, or Shopify Collabs, whose open access program offers commission to Collabs creators. Simple Affiliate has no marketplace, and GoAffPro’s listing does not mention one.

Which app is best for a Shopify referral program?

It depends on who refers. For customer referral, where shoppers get a reward when they bring in friends, ReferralCandy is built around rewards for customers, and its listing adds affiliate programs. UpPromote adds customer referral from Growth. Simple Affiliate fits when the people who refer are customers, creators or partners you want as affiliates, each with links, discount codes and a commission, who sign in on your store’s customer accounts.

UpPromote or GoAffPro: which should I pick?

Pick UpPromote when you must recruit publishers you have never met: its marketplace listing starts on Growth, which is $29.99/month plus 2% of successful referral sales. Pick GoAffPro when its free Hobby plan covers you (GoAffPro recommends it below 100 daily orders), or when you need multi-level commissions, which start on Premium at $49/month. If you already know your affiliates, Simple Affiliate Pro is $39/month with no percentage of referred sales.

Does Simple Affiliate take a cut of referred sales?

No, on any plan. The only usage-based charge is Autopay, billed to the merchant on commission payouts. See https://simple-affiliate.com/pages/sc-faq/how-much-does-simple-affiliate-cost.
