1099 facilitation follows Autopay payouts to affiliates who sign in with Shopify customer accounts. Your CPA still owns tax compliance. These pages do not recommend uninstalling Shopify products.
1
Shopify customer accounts
Affiliate identity on your store
Affiliates register and sign in with Shopify customer accounts. Tax forms attach to people who already exist in that identity, not a second login. Keep customer accounts even if you add Autopay.
What it owns. Included with Shopify customer accounts.

Autopay payouts
The payment trail 1099s are built from
The 1099 workflow described here applies to Autopay payouts. Do not assume PayPal, store credit, or Premium manual payouts are covered by the same facilitation. Affiliates receive the full commission; you pay the Autopay processing fee.
What it owns. Autopay processing fees still apply to payouts. No separate 1099 add-on fee.

1099-K and 1099-NEC facilitation
Eligible U.S. Autopay affiliates when IRS thresholds apply
When Autopay pays eligible U.S. affiliates, Simple Affiliate can facilitate 1099-K and 1099-NEC. Affiliates access issued forms from the dashboard. Forms are not issued for every affiliate automatically — thresholds decide.
What the connection adds. Included with Autopay. No separate 1099 add-on fee.

Your CPA
Always the compliance owner
App-facilitated forms do not replace merchant tax obligations, state filings, or affiliates’ own returns. Use a qualified tax professional for questions about whether a form is required. Shopify Collabs remains the creator marketplace; it is not the 1099 workflow for an owned roster.
What happens next. Professional fees, not an App Store subscription.
