What is the difference between the Starter and Pro plans?

Starter is the free plan for a small affiliate program, while Pro is designed for merchants who need more control over referral tracking, commissions, and customer attribution. Choose based on the size of your program and whether repeat purchases or product-level rules are important to your support and sales workflows.

Starter plan

Starter: $0/month

Starter supports a basic program with these limits:

• Affiliates: Up to 10 affiliates.
• Groups: One group.
• Links: One standard referral link per affiliate.
• Payouts: Autopay is available.
• Support: Live chat is included.

Starter has no free trial because there is no subscription charge. The plan is appropriate when you are validating an affiliate program or managing a small number of partners with one standard referral structure.

Pro plan

Pro: $39/month

Pro removes the Starter scale limits and adds tools for more detailed attribution and commission management:

• Unlimited affiliates, groups, and links: Build a larger program without the Starter limits.
• Custom referral links: Create referral links that use your preferred structure.
• Discount codes: Give affiliates unique codes that can attribute qualifying purchases.
• Product-specific commissions: Set commission rules that vary by product.
• Permanent customer connection: After a first referred purchase, a customer can remain connected to the referring affiliate so later purchases can continue to be attributed when this Pro feature is enabled.

These features matter when your affiliates promote different products, use individual codes, or need attribution beyond a single first purchase. You should still explain your attribution rules to affiliates and customers, because Simple Affiliate does not infer commission outcomes outside the configured tracking methods.

Where the other plans fit

• Basic: $19/month. Removes the Starter limits and adds Klaviyo, but does not add the Pro tracking tools.
• Premium: $69/month. Keeps the Pro features and adds product attribution, group automation, lower Autopay fees, and manual payouts.

Paid plans are flat monthly Shopify charges billed in USD every 30 days and include a 14-day free trial. Autopay processing fees are charged separately from the subscription, and the affiliate always receives the full commission. Starter, Basic, and Pro use a 3.9% bank or debit fee and an 8.9% credit-card fee.
