What is the difference between the Starter and Pro plans?
Scale and tracking control. Starter is the free plan for a small program with one referral structure; Pro is for merchants who need product-level commission rules, individual discount codes, or attribution that outlasts the first purchase.
What Starter covers
Starter: $0/month
Up to 10 affiliates, one group, and one standard referral link per affiliate. Autopay is available and live chat support is included. There's no trial because there's nothing to charge.
That's enough to validate an affiliate program, or to run a small one with a handful of partners on one standard referral structure.
What Pro adds
Pro: $39/month
Pro removes the Starter limits (unlimited affiliates, groups, and links) and adds the tracking tools:
- Custom referral links in the structure you prefer.
- Unique discount codes that attribute qualifying purchases to the affiliate who shared them.
- Product-specific commissions, so rates can vary by product.
- Permanent customer connection: after a first referred purchase, the customer can stay connected to the referring affiliate so later purchases keep attributing to them, when the feature is enabled.
These matter once affiliates promote different products, need their own codes, or should keep earning past a single first purchase. Whatever you configure, spell the attribution rules out for affiliates and customers; commissions only follow the tracking methods you've set up.
Where Basic and Premium fit
- Basic: $19/month. Removes the Starter limits and adds Klaviyo, but none of the Pro tracking tools.
- Premium: $69/month. Everything in Pro, plus product attribution, group automation, lower Autopay fees, and manual payouts.
All paid plans are flat monthly Shopify charges in USD every 30 days and include a 14-day free trial. Autopay processing fees sit outside the subscription, and the affiliate always receives the full commission. On Starter, Basic, and Pro those fees are 3.9% for bank or debit payments and 8.9% for credit cards.
