FAQ: Do affiliates get notified when a sale is made?
Yes, if you turn on the Referral confirmation email. Simple Affiliate then emails the affiliate each time one of their referrals is confirmed.
The email is off by default. It goes out only from a verified sender address on your own domain, never from noreply@simple-affiliate.com. To set it up, go to Settings > Emails:
- Connect and verify a Custom sender address on your domain.
- In Email notifications, turn on Referral confirmation.

In Email content, select Referral confirmation and edit the text. Shortcodes such as
[ORDERNAME]and[COMMISSIONAMOUNT]add the order and the commission to each email.
The email is sent when the referral is confirmed, not when the order is placed. The time depends on Settings > Referrals: on payment or on fulfillment, after any confirmation delay. For the full steps, see How to Set Up Referral Confirmation Emails.
With or without the email, affiliates can always see a real-time list on their personal dashboard of their:
- Referrals: Every specific sale they’ve generated.
- Payments: A complete history of commissions paid out.
- Connected Customers: Any shoppers permanently linked to their account (for Pro/Premium users).
